My Story

I am a good house dog who loves people. I am trained to sleep in a crate (but I don't have to) and I love other dogs and cats. My owner loved me very much until she passed away. I miss her so much! No one in her family wanted me so they turned me in to the shelter where I await another warm, loving home to take me in and love me until I am old and pass on too.

My Story

I am from Waveland, MS. When hurricane Gustav hit the coast, I was sent to the Madison Ark with my brother Duke. I am having a blast here with my new friends! I am a big baby who LOVES to be involved with people, so I have made many new friends. I am an extremely handsome boy and, like a typical German Shepherd, I am very SMART and DEVOTED so I learn very quickly. I am waiting on MY NEW BEST FRIEND to come and rescue me...but until then I will just roll over and let the good folks at the Ark scratch my belly! Please come visit me, I know you will love me because I am the kind of dog that everyone loves! I am truly Man's Best Friend!

Foster Home Needed ASAP for three adorable Black & White Pups, only 5 days old!!!

These three adorable babies were dropped off at the CARA Animal Shelter Monday, 01/19/09. They are in desperate need of a foster home where they can be bottle fed. Puppies do not fare well in a shelter due to their constant need for socialization and food. In a few weeks they will also need a permanent home.
