Where I came from / How I came to the Shelter: My owner had to give up my daughter and I because they were moving to a smaller place and didn't really have room for us any more.

My Story

My daughter, Cross, has already moved to her new home and I would love to move to mine! I have a very sweet personality - I am healthy, love kids, dogs and cats...what more could a person ask for? I love to sit in a lap and cuddle. By the way, did I mention that I am a REGISTERED American Hairless Terrier with hair? That is really cool! I can live with a lot of people who are typically allergic to other types of pets too.

Meet Dizzy

Please keep in mind that due to the overwhelming number of homeless pets, MARL is a "kill shelter". In other words, each pet only has a marked number of days there before they will be put to sleep. MARL has to continue to make room for more desirable pets that are more likely to find a home. So, please be the savior for Dizzy or Bailey (see below) as these may be their last days.

My Story

My owner said I am a great dog but she didn't have time for me. The good folks at MARL have given me a temporary home. They say that I am not demanding at all, in fact I am a really easy going dog who could be happy any where...I really don't need a whole lot, just a little time. I would love to take walks, play ball, and maybe do some herding. I am very smart girl who deserves someone to love me!

My Story

My owner has cancer and is unable to take care of me any more. She misses me and is extremely concerned about me, but she has to take care of herself right now. I also miss her terribly because I used to lie by her feet while she would read. Oh how I long for the quiet, safe and loving home I used to have. I also like to play outside and would probably be a great watch dog for someone. I am a very laid-back boy and I don't have a ton of energy, just a lot of love! Please give me a second chance at a warm, safe and loving home!
