Ideal type of home: The good folks at ARF really want to see me
in a home where I will get a lot of attention. I really need to be an inside dog,
at least until I'm older. I would be perfect for any home that is willing to spend
a lot of time with me because I am a SNUGGLER and I love to be held!
Where I came from / How I came to the Shelter: I, and my brothers
and sisters, were found in the woods by a farmer. Thankfully, his compassion led
him to round us up and bring us to ARF.
My Story
We are very thankful to have the good folks at ARF to take care of us now because we love to snuggle and be held. Even though I am the runt of the litter, I am in charge! I like to follow people around and see what they are doing, but my favorite thing is to lie on my back like a baby and get my BELLY RUBBED!!! I am playful, curious, very healthy and looking for my new forever home.

Interaction with Dogs: Great
Interaction with Cats: Great
Ideal type of home: All we need is a loving home with a large back
yard!
Where I came from / How I came to the Shelter: We were dumped next
to a public dumpster like trash.
Our Story
We are sisters and since we have traveled such a perilous journey to get to the safe place where we are now, we would love to be able to stay together, but not necessary. I (Tater/ golden) am a little shy but I have so much potential to be an awesome pet. My sister, Tot (black), on the other hand is a ham! She loves people AND the camera! Can't you tell? Even though our early puppy-hood was slightly tragic, we have come a long way since being cared for by a foster home at Paws. We love meeting new people, new dogs and gaining more social experiences. We are quickly picking up common commands and walking on a leash. A new forever home is surely in our immediate future since we are such "good" dogs! If you are interested in loving us forever, please call Leigh at her info below.

Interaction with Dogs: Great
Interaction with Cats: Great
Ideal type of home: A loving home who appreciates a great dog!
Where I came from / How I came to the Shelter: Roscoe was originally
rescued and adopted from CARA two years ago and his sponsor at CARA, who knows him
well (and would love to keep him J), says that he is the "SWEETEST DOG ON THE FACE
OF THE PLANET!! And, you would be lucky to have Roscoe in your life!"
My Story
A couple of years ago I was pulled from under a house with an embedded collar (meaning, it was cutting into my neck) and a case of heartworms. My neck injury healed nicely and my heartworms were treated and cured. I was at CARA a little over a year when a young couple with a baby opened their family to give me a home. Yeah! Sadly, now baby wants a puppy and for some reason, that's why I had to go. They brought me back to CARA and unfortunately I am heartworm positive again! CARA is sponsoring my treatment, again, so I should be heartworm free soon. I am crate trained and eager to learn to be completely housetrained. Everyone comments on how smart and easily trainable I am. I am a dog who is eager to please; I love everyone, and have a calm, sweet demeanor.

MARL
Name: Maggie
Gender: Female
Age: 2 years
Breed: Irish Stetter
Color: Red with some white
Size: Large
House Trained: No
Neutered/Spayed: Will be
Medical Information: Up to date
Interaction with Kids: Good
Interaction with Dogs: N/A
Interaction with Cats: N/A
Ideal type of home: Since I am a Setter, I would love a fenced
yard to explore and just "be a dog." But, then again I would also love to be a part
of the family with some time spent indoors on a nice soft bed.
Where we came from / How we came to the Shelter: My owners could
no longer take care of me so they dropped me off at MARL.
My Story
When my family decided that they didn't want me any more, I was very saddened. But, I am looking forward to someone new to love and share my darling personality with. I have been here at MARL for a while and I gotta say, this shelter stuff really isn't for me. If I had a nice new owner, I know they would properly take care of me and when my coat grows back out I will really shine with that beautiful Irish Setter glow! Please come by to visit me, I know I would steal your heart!

While I really need a fenced yard to stretch my legs a little, I would also really love a family who will let me come inside and share my loving personality. I am a super sweet girl and I know you would love me!
