Where I came from/how I came to be at the shelter: I was rescued by a very nice family from their swimming pool. They don't know how I got there, but I could not manage to get out so I swam, and swam, and swam. They don't know how long I was there, but I was getting really tired when they found me. The nice family and ARF have tried to find my former home, but no one has come to claim me. I am still very young, full of life, extremely loveable and gentle. . . and OH SO grateful to be out of that pool! I like to play and be petted and I never meet a stranger, so when you come to pick me up, it'll be just like we are old friends!

Ideal type of home: Australian Shepherds are extremely smart dogs and typically catch on very quickly. They are also herding dogs, which means they like to DO things, rather than just exist in a backyard. They make great obedience and rally dogs, and also do well as therapy dogs, or just good old family pets!
Where I came from: I am just a BABY! Can you believe that someone dumped me in a parking lot all alone, hungry and scared? Thank goodness, someone from ARF came along and saw me, what a relief! Now that I have a warm bed, food and lots of folks to snuggle with, I am really ready to go on to my OWN home!

Riley needs a home!

My Story

I have learned a lot through little journey through life so far, and this has left me GRATEFUL and very sociable with lots of puppy energy! I love to play and chase your feet as you walk, I give great puppy kisses and I take all the attention I can get. I get along well with children and I really need a family that has time to spend playing with me. I am very smart, I am already crate trained and potty outside, so I should be quite easy (and fun) to train! Yes, that's it folks. . . a girl with beauty and brains! What more could you look for in a snuggle buddy?

They say there is nothing to keep a person entertained like the antics of a kitten. I have had my first set of shots and will be going back in another week, or so, for some more. I am playful, adorable and super sweet! Please make room in your home for me because I just know we will be best friends forever!
