Where I came from: I was found roaming the streets with no safe place to go. I was so relieved when someone showed up and offered me kindness. I am a sweet dog, love attention, and would get along great with a family or someone that has a little time to spend with me. I will warm up to you quickly with a little petting and attention.

My Story

I was a lost little girl, looking for help on the streets. No one seemed to notice me or offer me any help, but I manage to get by on my own for a while. It was a lonely life and I dreamed that one day, a kind stranger would just stop long enough to see how friendly I am. Then it happened! Someone from ARF saw me and realized that I needed HELP! I am forever grateful, and have been giving them lots of kisses since that day! Everyone is so kind to me and I repay them with lots of affection and a CONSTANTLY WAGGING TAIL! This is a great place to stay until I find my forever home. I want that ONE SPECIAL person to go home with! Come by ARF and meet me...maybe we will have that SPECIAL connection and you will take me home. Maybe we can spend Christmas together this year and be a REAL FAMILY!

Since I was rescued off of the streets, of course, they really don't know what breed, or mix of breeds, I am. However, they are pretty confident that I am a Shiba Inu, or at least a mix of...from the AKC breed standard of Shiba Inu- "The smallest of the Japanese native breeds, the Shiba was originally developed for hunting in the dense undergrowth of Japan's mountainous areas. Alert and agile with keen senses, he is also an excellent watchdog and companion. His frame is compact with well-developed muscles and he possesses a double coat. . . ." You can search the breed to see what a wonderful breed we are!

Bob needs a home! Ideal type of home: Hi there! Boy, do I have a story to tell you! As you can see from my before and after photos...ARF saved my life! I was near death on the day I was rescued. I have completely recovered from my neglect, malnutrition and mange! Just look at me now...just 5 SHORT WEEKS since those "before" photos of me. I am beautiful and soooo grateful...a real sweetheart!
Where I came from/ How I came to the Shelter: I was living on the streets for as long as I can remember...although I am just a young pup! Everyone turned their head when I walked by, I guess no one wanted the responsibility of helping me! I know I didn't look very handsome back then, but I still had LOVING HEART and a GENTLE nature! Why was that so hard for people to see??? People walked past me every day, but no one would offer any help. One glorious day, a sweet girl came along and couldn't believe her eyes. She immediately saw that I was near DEATH and had just about given up. She got me to ARF...and they never gave up on me. I have gotten lots of TLC and now I am healthy and ready for a real home that would make my story have a VERY HAPPY ENDING!!

Bob needs a home!

My Story

My name is Bob...they used to call me "Bare Bob" because I had NO hair when I got to ARF! Look at me now, 5 WEEKS LATER, I have a beautiful coat and a wagging tail! I am GENTLE, LOVING and AFFECTIONATE! Please help my story have a "happily ever after" ending and take me home. I will be a great friend and forever grateful to you. I have come a long way in just a few months...I wish I could talk to you and tell you all the things that happened to me, but I think you can look in my BIG BROWN EYES and see what a difference you are making in my life!
